Cross Family Kids
We work to provide a safe and fun environment where our children can experience the love of Jesus and learn about God’s plan for our salvation. Here is how we accomplish this:
Safety and Security
Before working with minors, all team members must pass an extensive background check and complete training through Ministry Safe that helps them identify potential threats to our children.
The facility we use at American Academy is under continual recorded video surveillance. We can access these recordings through the school’s administration.
We maintain a single controlled entry point to our children’s area. Only parents/guardians and approved team members are allowed in the children’s area. Parents/guardians are accompanied by a team member at all times.
Our check in process utilizes a matching number system. Our team verifies that your number matches that of your child before they are released to you. We can also note any allergies or medical conditions your child may have.
Before the Service - Warm up to Worship
Beginning at 9:15a and geared to kindergarteners through fifth graders, our kids enjoy a brief time of worship music with dance moves to get the wiggles out!
Next is an interactive Bible lesson, often with a science component, that ties in with Pastor Tim’s sermon.
At the end of the lesson kids are given a clear gospel presentation that they can understand.
K-5th grade are checked out at 9:45am so they can attend the worship service.
K-5ths are given a CFK Yellow Bag that includes activity pages, crayons, and small craft supplies. These are aimed at keeping them busy and focused so that they can listen to Pastor Tim.
At the end of the service, Yellow Bags are returned the check-in desk and K-5ths that have completed their activity pages can choose a prize from the treasure box.
During the SErvice
Drop off is from 9:45-10a.
Infants through Pre-schoolers are provided with a safe and structured environment while parents attend our worship service.
Bible lessons are taught chronologically with an emphasis on Christ as the center of God’s unfolding story.
Lessons are interactive and include games, songs, videos, pictures, and sensory activities.
